Will my BoatU.S. coverage work if I have an existing problem prior to purchasing coverage?
BoatU.S. will not cover a vessel that was disabled prior to purchasing a membership.

Does my coverage include the use of a diver if my propeller or rudder is fouled?
BoatU.S. will cover up to $125 of diver cost to untangle a fouled prop or rudder plus the run time for the towboat. Any cost above $125 will be paid by the insured. (BoatU.S. Towing Service Agreement)

Can I use your services if I’m not a BoatU.S. member?

The draw shall open on signal; except that from November 1 through March 31, 24 hours a day, and from April 1 through October 31, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., a six-hour advance notice to the drawtender is required for bridge openings.

The draw operates as follows:
(a) From November 1 through April 30, the draw shall open on signal from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. but need not be opened from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
(b) From May 1 through October 31, the draw shall open on signal on the hour and half-hour from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., but need not be opened from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
(c) The draw shall open on signal for public vessels of the United States, state and local government vessels used for public safety purposes, and vessels in distress. Operational information will be available 24 hours a day by calling 1-800-543-2515.

The draw of the S213 Bridge, mile 26.8, at Chestertown, shall open on signal if at least six hours notice is given.

Where do I pump out my holding tanks in your area?
Maryland Department of Natural Resources has certified pumpout locations all over the Chesapeake Bay.  Here is a list of pumpout locations on the Eastern Shore.

What is the current health of the Bay on the Eastern Shore?
The ShoreRiver Foundation monitors the health of the bay throughout the year. A yearly report card is given for the health of the Bay: Bay Report Card
The ShoreRiver Keepers also monitor Bacterial counts at various sites around the Bay.
